The best movies make you think. Not only during the movie itself but even after the movie was over.

In the case of The Creator, I couldn’t stop thinking about it thanks for two major reasons:

1 – The theme

2 – The visuals

The movie is all about the evolution of AI. You have questions like when AI is too much? Can it replace human connection? Can it even bring emotions?

And it’s beautiful and haunting, and most importantly, doesn’t feel Sci-Fi at all, because we’re already living in the era of AI.

I won’t spoil too much, but the movie centers around the conflict between humanity and AI, and the main character is given the task of destroying the ultimate weapon of AI.

While the story does feel sometimes like a rehash of other movies, it doesn’t take control of the final script, which in the end is very beautiful, tight, and above all, very emotional.

The cast is incredible. Actors like John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, and Allison Janney are all doing a fabulous job.

But the visuals are the real deal.

The movie is directed by Gareth Edwards, who did Godzilla and Rogue One. And it’s visually stunning.

From gorgeous shots of wide Sci-Fi landscapes to impressive set pieces and big explosions.

According to reports, the movie cost around 80 million, and when you see it you can’t believe it. The movie looks at the same level as lots of the 200-million movies that came out in recent years (or even better?).

It feels like Edwards had at least a 200 million budget.

While the scope and scale are huge (like, seriously), the movie doesn’t lose the heart, theme, emotions, and cleverness.

This is the definition of a Sci-Fi epic, like Dune.

You have the big-scale action and explosions, but you also have depth, sophistication, moral questions, and so much more.

This is the movie we need.

Another big clapping is for cinematographers Greig Fraser and Oren Soffer. What they did with this movie is nothing short of a miracle!!

The combination of Gareth Edwards, Greig Fraser, and Oren Soffer is just top-notch.

The movie is one of the most beautiful movies of the last five years.

It has to be seen in order to believe.

I hope the movie will do well, and we will get more movies like this, especially since we all care about one thing these days – Artificial Intelligence.
